    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Norfolk County Council with local partners in UK. It was aimed at youngsters but also would be made available to the general public on a geocaching website.

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Region of Zealand in Denmark. It was aimed at creating an agreement with different municipalities, to test methods of motivating groups of people not familiar with hiking that can be replicated by other communities.
  4. ”WALK ALONG!” (“Gå med”)

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This was done by Region of Zealand in Denmark and the municipality of Kalundborg. It was a demonstration project for testing a method for involving people in local exercising in groups prior to a Hiking Festival. The area was social and ethnic mixed housing and the targeted residents were unfamiliar with hiking and walking.

  5. FROM THE ICE AGE TO THE ICE AGE - A HERITAGE TRAIL

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by the Municipality of Kragerø with local partners in Norway. It was aimed at increasing physical activity among the general public, increasing awareness of local historic sites and their importance, enhancing a sense of personal identity and roots and providing an outdoor activity for schools. One focus was on the Ice Age, including the history of ice production and export.

  8. HEALTHY DINNER IN THE FOREST

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Region Nordjylland and the Danish Nature Agency with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at drawing local people and visitors, who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, out into nature and to have dinner in the forest.
  9. COASTAL ACCESS, HERITAGE ASSET SCORING

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Norfolk County Council with local partners in UK. It aimed to create a systematic examination and assessment of the known heritage assets which lie along the coast. This would enable the extension of an existing coastal path, so that assets which are vulnerable to public access could be protected and assets which are of significant interest and importance to the public understanding of the county’s coastal heritage could be promoted.

  10. WORKSHOP FOR STAKE HOLDERS

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Rogaland County Council with local partners in Norway. Its aim was to inform stakeholders and others about the Coast Alive project. The overall aim was to reduce physical and mental barriers hindering physical activity among the in-active parts of the population, and to help the beginning of a new pattern of light and enjoyable exercise for people who, for various reasons, are inactive or less-active today.
