    Every 2nd Wednesday, the NGO Haugesund Turistforening is arranging different types of activities for people with special needs. They offer a variety of activities, depending on the season.
  3. CMI Circular walks in Great Yarmouth and nearby coastal villages

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Norfolk County Council, in UK. It was aimed at mobilising local people (particularly those with mental health issues) who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, to regularly use the local footpaths and to walk more often as a free and easy way of including exercise as part of everyday life.

  4. CMI Stimulating Walking, a programme for those normally inactive, Fryslan

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Fryslan in the Netherlands. It was aimed at activating those members of the local community who did not normally take much exercise. The activity was also to include measuring heart rate etc.
  5. Challenging Youth

    Young people were involved in the development and delivery of an Award programme to encourage more participation in outdoor activities by socially disadvantaged individuals and groups. This was intended to create and promote opportunities for those young adults to have a healthier life style. This would be achieved through a range of physical activities, that otherwise may not be available to them. It was envisaged that, through these means, an increase in National Park and coastal awareness would be attained, as well as confidence building.
  6. FJELL FORTRESS – ROUND TRIP WITH UNIVERSAL DESIGN

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Hordaland County Council with local partners in Norway. It was a pilot project aimed at making natural and cultural heritage (more) accessible for disabled user groups in a popular tourist spot, Fjell Fortress.

  7. DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLICATION OF COAST ALIVE! CIRCULAR WALKS IN THE KING’S LYNN AREA and LAUNCH OF THE KING’S LYNN BOOKLET

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Norfolk County Council with local partners in UK. It focused on families with young children from more deprived backgrounds who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, and was aimed at drawing local people out into nature using the existing network of local paths and green spaces.

  8. NORWEGIAN HIKING FESTIVAL - Planning and Event

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Møre and Romsdal County with local partners in Norway. It aimed to create an increased focus on hiking, public health and use of organized nature based activities, to stimulate nature and culture based development, strengthen local outdoor life identity, encourage and engage local societies, upgrade and professionalise the use of hiking products for tourists and the local population, create an increased consciousness of a sustainable environment and of sustainable tourism and promote Norway and Nordmøre and its qualities as a hiking destination.

  9. HEALTHY DINNER IN THE FOREST

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Region Nordjylland and the Danish Nature Agency with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at drawing local people and visitors, who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, out into nature and to have dinner in the forest.
  10. KICK OFF CONFERENCE

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Rogaland County Council with local partners in Norway. It was aimed at introducing the Coast Alive project to stakeholders within the county of Rogaland, Norway with the focus being: “Design for all” and “How to motivate oneself and other people”.
