The Coastal Saga Weeks (Kystsogevekene) is an annual event for mobilising and visualising the traditional Norwegian coastal culture. The event takes place form mid-August to end September each year. The event hosts around 150 different events scattered along the coast of Hordaland, and attracts 35.000 visitors.

REHABILITATION IN NATURE
This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Syddansk Turisme with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at disabled people who could not access nature without assistance, to give them the opportunity to spend time in nature. -
MAKE A NEW OUTDOOR FRIEND – KICK-OFF ACTIVITY DAY - Haugalandet
This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Rogaland County Council, with local partners in Norway. It was aimed at encouraging local people to walk or cycle ride in their local neighbourhood and encouraging them to invite their friends and acquaintances to join in. -
OUTDOOR RECREATION WEEK/OUTDOOR RECREATION DAY
This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Rogaland County Council and local partners in Norway. It aimed to stimulate people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the outdoors and to become more physically active, thereby improving the physical and mental health of the inhabitants. -
CITY CHILDREN GO TO THE COUNTRYSIDE
This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Syddansk Turisme with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at schoolchildren visiting the countryside, in order for them to learn more about nature and how to act in the natural world.
