  1. The Coastal Saga Weeks

    The Coastal Saga Weeks (Kystsogevekene) is an annual event for mobilising and visualising the traditional Norwegian coastal culture. The event takes place form mid-August to end September each year. The event hosts around 150 different events scattered along the coast of Hordaland, and attracts 35.000 visitors.
  2. Bus to Nature

    Cheap bus tours were arranged to Stättareds 4-H farm to make the facility accessible to new groups and to make it possible for more people to enjoy outdoor activity, nature and walking along Hallandsleden. In Stättared, Hallandsleden is available for walking, enjoying wildlife, beautiful scenery and learning more about nature and the animals at the farm.
  3. FROM THE ICE AGE TO THE ICE AGE - A HERITAGE TRAIL

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by the Municipality of Kragerø with local partners in Norway. It was aimed at increasing physical activity among the general public, increasing awareness of local historic sites and their importance, enhancing a sense of personal identity and roots and providing an outdoor activity for schools. One focus was on the Ice Age, including the history of ice production and export.
  4. DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF THEMED BACKPACKS

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by North Jutland with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at drawing local people, who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, to use nature and all its activities.
  5. HEALTHY DINNER IN THE FOREST

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Region Nordjylland and the Danish Nature Agency with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at drawing local people and visitors, who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, out into nature and to have dinner in the forest.
  6. COASTAL ACCESS, HERITAGE ASSET SCORING

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Norfolk County Council with local partners in UK. It aimed to create a systematic examination and assessment of the known heritage assets which lie along the coast. This would enable the extension of an existing coastal path, so that assets which are vulnerable to public access could be protected and assets which are of significant interest and importance to the public understanding of the county’s coastal heritage could be promoted.

  7. BACKPACK PROJECT IN SOUTHWEST JUTLAND

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Syddansk Turisme with local partners in Denmark. It aimed to equip 40 backpacks with items to increase enjoyment of the outdoors, which would operate throughout the year and the years to come and encourage people out into nature in the area.
  8. REHABILITATION IN NATURE

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Syddansk Turisme with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at disabled people who could not access nature without assistance, to give them the opportunity to spend time in nature.
  9. HIKING FESTIVAL FOR ALL – LEJRE: Testing a local method of motivating groups of citizens unfamiliar with hiking

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Region Zealand with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed encouraging people living in nursing homes out into nature.
