Vesterø harbour
Vesterø harbour, with its shipping and ferry crossing, is Læsø's lifeline to the mainland. The harbour was established in 1872 to ensure regular transportation of mail, goods and passengers from Frederikshavn; the Jutland stretch of railway had reached Frederikshavn in 1871. Subsequently, harbour activities expanded to include fishing, ship building and the latest addition, a marina. -
Via Thyholm between Lyngs Drag and Oddesund
Because the sea broke through the Agger Tange isthmus in 1825 and cut off the centuries-old droving road on the isthmuses of Agger and Thyborøn, it was rerouted southwards from Thy over to Thyholm. The name of the trail from this point onwards is "Drivvejen" in Danish (drovers' road). -

Villa Lorna
Villa Lorna is the only "Swiss" villa in Balestrand, which is built above the main road. However, the fjord is only a short distance away and the view is perhaps at its most spectacular just here. Villa Lorna was built by an engineer, James Livesey. He had travelled the world, building railways. At the age of 74 he settled in Balestrand during the summers. -
Vilnes church
Vilnes church is a longchurch built of logs located at Vilnes on the southern tip of the island of Atløy in the municipality of Askvoll. The church was built in 1674 and has a seating capacity of 130. The vicar Otthe Jonassøn was in charge of the building project. In the 1950s, the church was restored according to the plans of the architects Johan and Claus Lindstrøm. Vilnes church is a "sokn" church for the Vilnes "sokn" in the parish of Askvoll.
