  7. Gl. Skagen

    Gl. Skagen on the west side of Skagens Odde is an old fishing hamlet. Following the creation of Skagen harbour in 1907, it became a seaside resort. Many of the houses from fishing times have been preserved, and the first bathing hotels and guest houses are still operating.

  9. Estuary of the river Elling Å

    The estuary of the river Elling Å served as a natural harbour until the early Middle Ages. Later, the natural harbour became sanded over; combined with land uplift, this created a large area suitable for grazing cattle, which Lerbæk manor specialised in.

  10. The 'Kæret' and 'Lille Alpha' allotment areas

    The 'Lille Alpha' allotment area came into being in the period 1935-1955, when workers at one of the big industrial companies of Frederikshavn, MAN B&W Alpha Diesel, built the small allotment garden houses in accordance with the 'available nails' principle.
