It was aimed at sharing knowledge of the barriers to people hiking on trails for health by preparing activities for groups not familiar with walking.

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Province of Fryslân with Sport Fryslân and other local partners in the Netherlands. It was aimed at the collaborative development of a workable model for planning an event to draw relatively inactive local people out into nature.
  4. The active living Project (GALM-SCALA)

    The active living project (GALM-SCALA) is a project for people from 55-65 years who haven't undertaken sports (much) for a long time. It is used in order to change behaviour from an inactive to an active lifestyle. The program takes 1,5 year and contains 5 steps
  5. WALK AND MEET THE SPRING - ODSHERRED

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Region Zealand with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at testing a local method of motivating groups of citizens unfamiliar with hiking.
  6. Walking for Health (England)

    Walking for Health (WfH)is a national scheme in England which encourages more people to become physically active in their local communities by supporting the development of health walks in local areas led by volunteers. The WfH model includes resources and structures to ensure the sustainability of schemes.
  7. WORKSHOP FOR STAKE HOLDERS

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Rogaland County Council with local partners in Norway. Its aim was to inform stakeholders and others about the Coast Alive project. The overall aim was to reduce physical and mental barriers hindering physical activity among the in-active parts of the population, and to help the beginning of a new pattern of light and enjoyable exercise for people who, for various reasons, are inactive or less-active today.
