It was aimed at removing physical barriers to access to outdoor recreation areas and increasing the number of disabled people using outdoor recreation areas.

It was aimed at inspiring local people, who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, to be active in the countryside, with events suitable to all ages, interests and aspirations.

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Norfolk County Council with local partners in the UK. It aimed to give people the confidence to explore more of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) on foot, to inspire people to spend interesting days away from the most popular coastal sites and to enable them do so as sustainably as possible.
