It aimed to stimulate people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the outdoors and to become more physically active, thereby improving the physical and mental health of the inhabitants.

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by North Jutland with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at inspiring local people, who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, to be active in the countryside, with events suitable to all ages, interests and aspirations.

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Rogaland County Council, with local partners in Norway. It was aimed at encouraging local people to walk or cycle ride in their local neighbourhood and encouraging them to invite their friends and acquaintances to join in.

  8. MAKE A NEW “OUTDOOR” FRIEND PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL

This one was done by Rogaland County Council as a lead into initiatives with other local partners in Norway. A promotional product was developed for use as a ‘give-away’ or prize at events that Coast Alive partners might wish to run, being useful for motivating participation.

  10. The Coastal Saga Weeks

    The Coastal Saga Weeks (Kystsogevekene) is an annual event for mobilising and visualising the traditional Norwegian coastal culture. The event takes place form mid-August to end September each year. The event hosts around 150 different events scattered along the coast of Hordaland, and attracts 35.000 visitors.
