    Kystmarsjen ble arrangert for første gang sommeren 2012. I samarbeid mellom private arrangører og Rogaland fylkeskommune ble det arrangert en to dagers lang kystmarsj langs Nordsjøruta som vi håper kan bli et årlig arrangement.

    As a community mobilisation initiative (CMI), Rogaland County Council in partnership with private actors, arranged a two days' coastal march along the North Sea Trail which is envisaged to continue as an annual event.

  3. AVALANCHE FORECAST FOR BACKCOUNTRY SKIERS

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Møre og Romsdal, working to support Snøskredvarsel.no in Norway. It was aimed at giving better security for the rapidly growing number of backcountry skiers by providing updated information regarding avalanche danger on a website.

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Rogaland County Council with local partners in Norway. It aimed to give a presentation of Coast Alive at a national seminar, focusing in particular on physical and mental barriers.

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Region Nordjylland and the Danish Nature Agency with local partners in Denmark. It was aimed at drawing local people and visitors, who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, out into nature and to have dinner in the forest.
  8. NORWEGIAN HIKING FESTIVAL - Planning and Event

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Møre and Romsdal County with local partners in Norway. It aimed to create an increased focus on hiking, public health and use of organized nature based activities, to stimulate nature and culture based development, strengthen local outdoor life identity, encourage and engage local societies, upgrade and professionalise the use of hiking products for tourists and the local population, create an increased consciousness of a sustainable environment and of sustainable tourism and promote Norway and Nordmøre and its qualities as a hiking destination.

  9. DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLICATION OF COAST ALIVE! CIRCULAR WALKS IN THE KING’S LYNN AREA and LAUNCH OF THE KING’S LYNN BOOKLET

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Norfolk County Council with local partners in UK. It focused on families with young children from more deprived backgrounds who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, and was aimed at drawing local people out into nature using the existing network of local paths and green spaces.

    This booklet has 15 walks that uncover some real jewels of the North Norfolk Coast; from the fascinating remains of World War Two structures to Sheringham Park with its rolling parkland; from the cliffs at Weybourne and Overstrand to Beeston Bump, a glacial moraine with fantastic views over the headland; or the Roman Camp at Beacon Hill, the highest point in Norfolk to which it is possible to walk from sea-level.
