    Kystmarsjen ble arrangert for første gang sommeren 2012. I samarbeid mellom private arrangører og Rogaland fylkeskommune ble det arrangert en to dagers lang kystmarsj langs Nordsjøruta som vi håper kan bli et årlig arrangement.

  2. Kystmarsjen - "The Coastal March"

    As a community mobilisation initiative (CMI), Rogaland County Council in partnership with private actors, arranged a two days' coastal march along the North Sea Trail which is envisaged to continue as an annual event.

  3. Outdoor education - Ut i Sekken

    The “Ut i sekken” project is an outdoor education service which content should be adapted to elementary school. CLASSROOM – OUTDOORS. Eventually, some of the activities in “Ut i sekken” developed somewhat towards a “cleaner” activity day. All activities teach students general outdoor activities, how to act in the wild and how to use the nature.
  4. Longer Routes, Post Routes and Pilgrims' Trails

    "Routes such as post roads and coastal routes are significant in historical context, moreover to promote outdoor recreation. We would like to facilitate such routes to be used both by locals as well as tourists." The aim of the work on pervasive routes can be found in performance/object dimension 5: "1-3 pervasive routes have been made available.” In the meeting of the working group on 02/03/2010 it was agreed to work towards Trondheim’s post route (post road) and on an east-west stretch of water directed towards kayaking. During the project period, work has been specifically directed toward the post road. Additionally, contacts have been established and participation in meetings in projects related to the ‘Pilgrimsleia’ In this case we worked with a stretch tied to the coastal road between Selja and Nidaros, and with a stretch from Valldal to the ‘Pilgrimsleia’ from Oslo to Nidaros. The stretch from Valldal is particularly related to legends and myths in connection with Olav the Holy journey through ‘Valldalen.’
  5. Health Walks, circular routes in the community

    Måre og Romsdal decided to continue their development of local walks to help draw local people out and for them to have access to walking routes in their local environment.
  6. “COAST ALIVE! WALKS IN THE WELLS AND FAKENHAM AREA”

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Norfolk County Council with local partners in UK. It was aimed at developing a series of short walks off the coastal trail, exploring methods of increasing the use of public transport, promoting to both local people and residential visitors and building on lessons learned from earlier publications. Additionally, this final guide enabled consolidation of all the previous walk developments and some comparative evaluation analysis.

  7. PROJECT “Livsgledeløypa” – THE JOY OF LIFE TRAIL

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Hordaland County Council with local partners in Norway. It was aimed at increasing local interest in the North Sea Trail and upgrading 16 local trails to reach a national standard for all trails used for hiking, cycling, cross country skiing and kayaking.

  8. STIMULATION WALKING PLANNING, FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE NORMALLY INACTIVE

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Province of Fryslân with Sport Fryslân and other local partners in the Netherlands. It was aimed at the collaborative development of a workable model for planning an event to draw relatively inactive local people out into nature.
  9. BUA BYGDELAG (BUA LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUP)

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Hordaland County Council with local partners in Norway. It was aimed at recruiting skilled people from the local community to create a rest and picnic area at a viewpoint.
  10. NORDIC WALKING TRAINING PLUS ADVENTURE WALKS ON THE CLEVELAND WAY

    This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by North York Moors National Park Authority with local partners in the UK. It was aimed at inspiring people into greater activity through combining a Nordic Walking routine with the experience of a great landscape.
