Transport was arranged to take children to the start and pick them up from the end of the walk.
  8. Connect Children and Environment

Children took part in walks along various parts of the Cleveland Way and North Sea Trail. The focus was on increasing awareness of the National Park and the coast, as well as building confidence in using the countryside and experiencing outdoor activities.
  9. Challenging Youth

Young people were involved in the development and delivery of an Award programme to encourage more participation in outdoor activities by socially disadvantaged individuals and groups. This was intended to create and promote opportunities for those young adults to have a healthier life style. This would be achieved through a range of physical activities, that otherwise may not be available to them. It was envisaged that, through these means, an increase in National Park and coastal awareness would be attained, as well as confidence building.
