From Ice Age to Ice Age
The trail is about 5 km long and starts nearby Berg-Kragerø museum. Walking its entire length will take about 2 ½ hours. Snacks, cool drinks and coffee can be purchased before or after in the new museum building. And the museum itself is also well worth a visit. -
CMI Cafe Mermaids
This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by Kragerø Subpartner, Bamble, in Norway. It was aimed at activating local unemployed immigrant women, who were relatively inactive and who did little exercise, out into the local community as a means of facilitating increased integration, developing skills and increasing job employability. -
FROM THE ICE AGE TO THE ICE AGE - A HERITAGE TRAIL
This is one of many Community Mobilisation Initiatives developed by Coast Alive partners. This one was done by the Municipality of Kragerø with local partners in Norway. It was aimed at increasing physical activity among the general public, increasing awareness of local historic sites and their importance, enhancing a sense of personal identity and roots and providing an outdoor activity for schools. One focus was on the Ice Age, including the history of ice production and export.
