Wittmund fylke
I det sørlige området av fylket ligger Freideburg kommune, som kjennetegnes ved sine skoger og hekkbeplantede murer, såvel som av tallrike gamle kirker.
Byen Wittmund er distriktssenter. "Peldemühle" (lokalmuseum) og rådhusene som ble bygd i årene 1899 og 1901er her verdt et besøk.
Videre vestover treffer man på byen Esens, hvis rådhus, inkludert anesalen, og St.-Magnus-kirken med tårnmuseum, virkelig er severdige. Sørvest for byen, i tilslutning til kommunen, ligger Holtreim med det største høymyrområdet i Tyskland, kalt "Ewigem Meer", og naturreservatet med samme navn. Kystbadestedene Neuharlingersiel, Bensersiel og Carolinensiel-Harlesiel fremviser moderne kuranlegg. I umiddelbar nærhet av stranden finnes det moderne campingplasser. Et godt tidsfordriv er, ved siden av vannvandringer, å ta en titt på dikeslusehavnmuseet og nasjonalparkhusene Nieders. Langgrunner i Carolinensiel og likeledes bulkskipsmuseet i Neuharlingersiel. I alle fall er øyene Langeoog og Spiekeroog populære, med sine lange strender og sanddynelandskap. Mens man kan komme til øya Langeoog fra Benersiel uavhengig av tidevannet, må man bruke en tidevannsavhengig ferdselsforbindelse fra Neuharlingersiel til Spiekeroog.
Sykkelveiene i distriktet er enhetlig skiltet, og danner et nett i området på 450 km. Man kan finne fast overnatting i området med godt farbare sykkel- og sideveier. Fra den anviste museums-, kirke- og sykkelruten, på Störtebekerweg og Ems-Jade-Wanderweg, har man også muligheter til å lære severdighetene i regionen bedre å kjenne ved å ta en flere dagers sykkeltur med overnattinger innimellom.
North Sea Therapeutic Spa of Esens-Bensersiel
The quaint city of Esens was once the base of the East Frisians chieftains, among the locals it is also known as the Bärenstadt (bear city). Background: In the middle ages, there was a bear in the city. Its appearance on a city gate frightened away enemy troops. In the lively North Sea Therapeutic Spa, there's a 'barrel' of things still going on: Whether in Takka-Tukka Land, an indoor beach playground, in the original circus tent or in the maritime active theme park, variety is the order of the day here.

North Sea Therapeutic Spa Neuharlingersiel
As early as 1693, official mention was made to Neuharlingersiel. Today, numerous fish and shrimp cutters continue to mark the bustling atmosphere along the petit harbour.
Picturesque fishing architecture is huddled along the water, sea fish are smoked on site with fresh shrimp offered for sale directly from the cutter. And on Sundays, the local Shanty choirs sing classics from the water front. The broad beach replete with greenery invites one to generous summer sun bathing in the canopied beach chairs. A typical East Frisian terp settlement is located in the municipal district of Groß Holum.

North Sea Spa of Carolinensiel - Harlesiel
The North Sea spa with three harbours: In the town's centre of Carolinensiel, you'll find the "Old Harbour", also referred to as the museum's harbour featuring historical plattboden sail vessels. The swimming Christmas tree comprises a winter attraction and the winter festival over the holidays at year-end. Sails and motorised yachts make their home in the neighbouring yacht harbour. Then, across the dyke at the sluice gate, it's on to the outer harbour. From there, not only the shrimp cutters set course for the open waters of the North Sea, but also the excursion liners cast off for the seal banks. The Cliner Quelle spa centre featuring a swimming pool, wellness and sauna area is new.
