Inverness

Inverness is also known as the 'capital of the Highlands', and is certainly the largest conurbation in this part of Scotland.

Inverness has grown considerably in the last decade, and now offers a more cosmopolitan experience for tourists, whilst still retaining its distinctive Highland charm. The city boasts some fine restaurants for tired cyclists to refuel in, and its network of cycle lanes and cycle racks ensure that ones arrival in Inverness is as hassle free as possible.

The Twin Pines youth hostel, located just 10 minutes ride out of the city centre is designated as cycle friendly accommodation, with full cycle storage and cleaning facilities.
