Free Trade PH

The Free Trade is not one of Newcastle's smartest or most beautiful pubs, but it is one of the most interesting. Although not totally unimproved, it retains the feel of an old, slightly battered pub that has seen better days in terms of decor. However, the beer is great (a wide range of real ale) and the view up the Tyne to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge is superb. Just a few yards off the North Sea Cycle Route (though up a steep little hill).
